Dr Kelly Champane- A Doctor On A Mission

Dr Kelly Champane-Mahlaya- A doctor on a mission. It does not get any more womandla than this; her story is one of determination, focus and hope to change the existential standing of things in the medical fraternity while doing something she is absolutely passionate about. Dr kelebogile ‘Kelly’Champane-Mahlaya’s story dates back to childhood, growing up at an era when HIV did a number on the nation’s death toll. “I just knew, I knew at the age of 11 that I had to become a doctor,” she says.

Champane-Mahlaya is a qualified Family Medicine Specialist and the owner of her own clinic; Premium Medical Centre. She also just recently joined the University of Botswana a a lecturer in the Medical Department. An expert of note, she holds a long list of qualifications; including but not limited to a Diploma in Dermatology, Certificate in Aesthetics medicine, Certificate in Psychology and a Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Abuse management. The sky is not the limit for the good doctor who is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health via correspondence on a Botswana based research topic. Champane-Mahlaya has also worked in Australia, where she attained a majority of her qualifications, for 11 years since the year 2014.

Premium Medical Centre is a ten-room facility designed to operate as a one stop shop for Batswana. Services include Family Medicine and General Medicine Consultations, Drug and Alcohol addiction management, laboratory services and Psychology services.
