ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY MISSED BY BOTSWANA

Botswana will miss another opportunity in participating in the biggest beauty pageant in the world, 71st Miss Universe competition which will be held at the New Orleans, Morial Convention Centre in New Orleans in the United States next week.

Tirelo Ramasedi was crowned Miss Universe Botswana 2010, and represented the country in Las Vegas on August 23. As it is right now, Ramasedi is the only former Miss Universe queen still keen in having her name shine out there. And in 2013 was the last time Botswana participated in Miss Universe.

After five years of not participating at Miss Universe pageant, the first Miss Universe Botswana Mpule Kwelagobe took over the franchise.

The 2023 Miss Universe crown named “Force for Good” is worth 6 Million US Dollars with 110.83 carats of blue sapphires and 48.24 carat of white diamonds. And the winner of the pageant will walk away with a one-year stay at the Miss Universe apartment in New York, which she’s expected to share with Miss USA, groceries, transport and the like during her reign.

A team of assistants, makeup artists and the like at her beck and call, an opportunity to model for the best photographers to build her modelling portfolio. Professional styling, nutrition, dermatology and dental services, an access to all exclusive events, parties, premieres, screenings and castings and also adding to the list an all-expense paid traveling privileges, including hotel accommodations and food.
