You’ll never know when your breakthrough opportunity will come. If your desire is to meet the president, start practicing today what you’ll say when you meet the president. If your desire is to be a radio or television host, start practicing today how you’ll do your first auditions. I told you how I got into the radio space, when that moment comes, there’s no time for practice, it is ‘lights, camera, ACTION’ only, you’ve got to be ready.
Those of you looking for job opportunities, scholarships and contracts, have your documents ready at all times. I know people who were asked to send their CV and other documents for job offers that were only open for a few minutes through recommendations, and thank God they had scanned all their documents and saved them on their phones, they just emailed right away, and just like that, they got the job.
Some opportunities will not give you time to prepare. Dr. B.F RAMS once said, “the opportunity of a lifetime must be maximized in the lifetime of the opportunity”. Another one once said “When preparation meets opportunity, greatness is birthed”. You can wake up one day and not know that that’s the day CNN will call you for an interview, like me yesterday. Funny story, they came to do an interview about Project124, but the Holy Spirit told me, “take your book with you”, I didn’t even delay, I took a bunch of them and went in with them. Guess what, the crew were blown away to see the book. Immediately they said, “We’re not only doing Project124, we will also do an interview with you about your book”. And right there and there, “camera, lights, action”. And just like that, my mother’s son together with his hit book, Think Like An Entrepreneur – Act Like A Prostitute, got on CNN.
