When it comes to alcohol, come rain or storm trust Batswana to leave everything they are doing to kick back and let time pass by. Go to an event, party even a funeral you won’t miss someone holding a bottle or can of alcohol letting their stress their fade away. Festive is knocking and trust people to finish the following alcohol brands from all liquor stores.

Carling Black Label: as Batswana praise it “Black Juice” is the most celebrated and consumed beer in Botswana originating from South Africa containing 4% of alcohol content. The medium-bodied refreshing lager with a distinct hopped bitterness and low sweetness that provides a clear crisp taste in golden liquid colour. The reason why it is most loved is because it is available throughout the year and can be bought in 340ml, 330ml,440ml, 660ml and even 30ltres! 30ltres!

Savannah: the amazing cider is produced from crushed apples grown in the Elgin Valley of the fertile Western Cape South Africa, and it is described as a clear, refreshing and dry tasting cider. The alcoholic beverage contains 3% of alcoholic content and is available in Savannah light or dry. Drink mainly drank by women because it is available in 330ml bottle.

Hunters: this Kenyan, South African alcohol 4.3% beverage caused even more buzz in Botswana with its natural apple crisp taste which leaves a refreshing sweet, balanced flavor in one’s mouth. Hunters is available as hunters dry, gold, hard lemon, extreme. This one is for mid-30’s people.

St’Louis: aka Sentlwatlwa, the Botswana brewed alcohol which contains 3% of alcohol content is on the peaks as influencers in Botswana are pushing the alcohol brand. This one is for the gents mostly, you might confuse the taste with Black label if you are a first timer.

Flying Fish: there is no fish in this fine beer but rather a pressed lemon, crushed orange and green apples to offer different and new experiences for the customers. The premium flavoured beer contains 4.5% of alcohol content with a beautiful golden colour. No wonder its one of Botswana’s favourate.

Jägermeister: the true definition of “if I die I die”, this German digestif is made with 56 herbs and spices to give it that distinct taste which enable it to be taken as a straight, jelly shot or mixed. Developed in 1934 by Wilhelm and Curt Mast, it has an alcohol by volume of 35%. The recipe has not changed since its creation and continues to be served in its signature green glass bottle.

Windhoek Draught: it produces 100% pure, full bodied, premium beer free from flavourings, colourants and other additives. Every can contains only three ingredients: malted barley, hops and water. Windhoek Draught Can is long, full and rich. Slightly bitter with the distinctive flavour of hops and a clean, crisp aftertaste containing 4% of alcohol content.

 

Russian Bear: the triple distilled Russian Bear Vodka is South Africa’s most awarded vodka at the International Wine and Spirit competition and a medal winner in 2000 and 2003. Russian Bear’s revolutionary distillation and charcoal filtration process ensures that this vodka is consistently 100% pure.
