PRESS RELASE: APPOINTMENT OF SENIOR PUBLIC OFFICERS

In accordance with Section 112 of the Constitution as reads with Section 2(2) of the Ombudsman Act (CAP.01.12) His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, President of the Republic of Botswana has made the following appointment and promotion of Senior Public Officers:

1. Advocate Stephen Basi Tiroyakgosi has been appointed as Ombudsman; and
2. Ms. Dudu Victoria Leinaeng has been appointed on promotion as Deputy Ombudsman in the office of the Ombudsman.

The appointments above take effect immediately.
