Description: Debswana Diamond Company would like to invite suitably qualified innovative, results oriented and self-driven individuals to apply for the Learner Official (Audit Service) position.
Purpose of the Role
To develop competency in Internal Auditing to the level of a Senior Internal Auditor after successfully completing the 2-year Learner Official programme. This will allow for the ability to provide independent, objective assurance and consultancy services to add value and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Get exposure on practical, hands on work experience in relevant section on rotational basis
- Get an appreciation for and apply current policies and procedures in related fields
- Be accorded the training to enable them to develop skills and competencies necessary to subsequently perform at a substantive level
- Adheres to all Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures in area of responsibility
- Conducts ethics and forensic investigations
- Provides guidance and advice to management and staff and promotes awareness of ethics, governance, controls and risk management through various forums
EDUCATION
- Bachelors Degree in Projects/ Engineering/ Metallurgy/ Mineral Resource Management/Survey or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- 1 to 2 years of internal audit experience will be an added advantage
