Meet Exclusive Chem founder Kate Yuyi. Kate Yuyi is the founder and Managing Director for Exclusive Chem, a company that focuses on the production, packaging and distribution of cleaning chemicals that are suitable for household and industrial use. 

The young entrepreneur hails from the village of Chadibe but successfully spread her wings as far as Gaborone, where she lives and the business is based. Her motivation to establish her own business dates back to her journey to Zambia nearly three years ago wherein she stumbled upon young entrepreneurs with a true hustlers spirit. She felt challenged to grow something that would in turn serve as a source of employment and simultaneously contribute towards the nation’s economic growth. As versatile and flooded as the industry is in Botswana, Yuyi persevered to start her company with her first product being soap bars. Today, her business features a wide range of products that can be found in various retail stores locally.

Moreover, in a positive twist of events, the Covid-19 pandemic has created an opportunity for her company to tap into a wider market through the production of bleaches and sanitizers which are essential in combating the spread of the virus. In addition, the products are selling like hot cakes as the new normal calls for extra cleanliness in homes and work spaces.
